    Kodo millet or Koda millet is an annual grown that is grown chiefly in Nepal, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and West Africa. While in most of these areas, Kodo millet is grown as a minor crop, in the Deccan plateau of India it is grown as a major food source. It is one of the plants that can survive harsh weather conditions and thrive on marginal soils. Kodo millet grows up to a height of four feet with its leaves growing 20 to 40 cm in lengths. 

    Kodo millet is prone to lodging at maturity, leading to the loss of grain, which is why it is essential to use limited fertilization.
